UNITY x ASICS: Removing Barriers One Step at a Time

At UNITY, we believe representation in endurance spaces matters. We believe that athletes of color deserve to be seen, supported, and equipped. And we believe that access should never be the reason someone doesn’t step to the start line.

That’s why we are proud to announce our first-ever UNITY Sneaker Scholarship in partnership with ASICS.

Through this initiative, we will be awarding 25 pairs of sneakers to members of our community each quarter.

For many athletes, proper running shoes are more than just gear, they are the foundation. They provide support, injury prevention, and the confidence to train consistently. But for some, high-quality footwear can be financially out of reach. That reality creates a barrier, and barriers limit participation, performance, and representation.

UNITY was created to remove those barriers.

Our goal is to make endurance spaces more inclusive by increasing representation of athletes of color. We host community runs, training opportunities, and wellness experiences, but we also recognize that access to gear is essential. This sneaker scholarship is one tangible way we are lowering that barrier.

Applications close on March 16 at 11:59 PM.
Incomplete applications or submissions received after the deadline will not be considered.
Recipients will be notified via email by March 21.
